Haydyn walked into the room of mirrors. He was surprised by it all. The school had many surprises, and this didn't catch him by surprise. It was always suspected for magical schools to have something around every corner.
Walking to one mirror, it showed his past. His parents getting lost in Egypt. It didn't show any death or signs of where they were. Haydyn could just tell that they were lost. He just had a feeling. Staring at the mirror for a couple of minutes, he let out a sigh.
He walked to another mirror and looked at it. What he saw was himself getting stuck into another metamorphic form. "Well, that's not new," He said with a light chuckle. Sighing, he walked back over to the previous mirror. This intrigued him, but the part that intrigued him wasn't what this mirror was showing. It was that what if his parents were still alive.
Now more questions kept popping into his mind. Shrugging the thoughts off his mind, he tapped the mirror with his index finger. Suddenly his reflection started to talk to him.
"You really need to start relaxing and enjoy life."
"What? How can you talk?! You're my reflection," He said starting to get excited but spooked.
"Aw..c'mon..this is Zonis. You really didn't expect another ordinary school?"
"Uh, right."
Haydyn jumped as he heard a door open behind him. Turning around, he looked to see who it was, and his talking reflection fell suddenly quiet.

Li opened the door to the Room of Mirrors quickly; having not seen anyone in sight when she peeked in ten minutes ago on her way to the Phoenix Common, she had rushed back to take her usual glance through what was and what could have been.
She knew that the Room of Mirrors could become an addictive thing, but she couldn't help it. Ever since she had returned a week beforewise, she had become almost obsessed with coming here.
She came crashing from her thoughts, though, when she realized that she wasn't alone in the room. "Whoa!" she cried out in surprise, jumping about a foot into the air. A boy around her age was inside in her customary spot. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize anyone else was here."
Li knew from experience that time spent around the mirrors was something that people usually wanted to do alone, for the Mirror of What Could Have Been ((OOC: making that up off the top of my head)) showed only someone's deepest desires and longings. Li knew that she wouldn't want anyone to see what she wanted more than anything in the world....

"Oi!" He said taking a jump back and looking at the girl. Taking a deep breath, Haydyn smiled and said, "I'm sorry to scare you, or I'm sorry that you scared me. I really wasn't expecting someone to come here." Laughing at himself for his stupidity, he stuck out his right hand and said, "I'm Haydyn. Pleasure to meet ya in this awkward and yet weird room."
His reflection did the opposite thing. His reflection jumped into another mirror. With a wide smirk on his reflection's face, he started to say, "You better watch out! I think our little Haydyn here might have a little crush on you." The refection was mocking Haydyn, but Haydyn just so happened to hit the mirror his reflection was in.
"Ow! My hand! Why you little -" He was cut off by the blood on his hand, distracted by the bleeding, he just tucked his hand into his pocket and said, "Sorry about that. Reflections can be a pain in the ass sometimes."

Li burst into a fit of giggles at Hayden's reflection's actions. "Yeah, you should see the way mine acts up in here. Nice to meet you, I'm Lieko, but I go by Li." Glancing around the room, she carefully avoided the mirror on the left.
"So...is your hand alright? I carry around some bandages with me just in case of emergency." As if to prove her words, she shifted the bag that hung perpetually from her right shoulder before reaching in and pulling out a simple first aid box.

Haydyn grinned slowly and looked as Li as she pulled out a box of bandages. "Uh, Thank you," He said pulling his hand out of his pocket. He grabbed a bandage and wrapped it slowly around his hand. As Haydyn was bandanging his hand, he looked at Li and saw her that she avoided a certain mirror.
Curious what mirror it was, he quickly finished bandanging his hand and walked over to the mirror. Haydyn examined the certain shape of it and saw that it was called the "Mirror of What Could Have Been". "This should be interesting," He said to himself, but it was possible that Li heard him.
The mirror started to show something that he hadn't dream in years to see. Haydyn's parents and Haydyn were just having a conversation at the dinner table, and his grandparents were there too. It seemed a little awkward for Haydyn, so he just took a couple of steps back. "Uh, Thanks for the bandages. So Li...what are you doing here exactly?"

Li's blue-brown eyes grew troubled once he finished wrapping the "battle wound" on his hand and moved over to the mirror she had so desperately tried to avoid. "Mirror of What Could Have Been," she heard him say. At his words Li released a small sigh.
"Uh, Thanks for the bandages. So Li...what are you doing here exactly?" Li grimaced a bit, fiddling with the left over bandages before thrusting them into her bag and looking back up at him.
"I come here at least twice a week for some...meditation and alone time." A little hesitant at saying anything else, she bit her lip for a second before sighing again and saying: "The Room of Mirrors is known to be an addictive place because it shows so many things that people greatly desire. Like...The Mirror of What Could Have Been, for instance." She shook her head, not in denial but in disapproval of her own actions.
"I'll admit that I've grown rather drawn to it. In some ways I'm really glad you're here, because that totally takes away any gall I might have had to take that first look into the mirror tonight...one that surely would have led to another glance and then another...."

"I see. Did you see anything you truly desire in it? If - this is what the mirror shows you. It showed me my parents, and I saw them. It's what been I've been longing for as a child. You see...they went to Egypt to study their way of magic, and as my grandparents like to believe their dead, I just like to believe that they're stuck somewhere."
Grinning foolishly, he turned to look at Li. "Or maybe I'm just a fool to believe in such a thing, but I suppose I am a fool for doing foolish things. Look at me now...I'm boring you with stupid things that you don't need to know," He said with a light chuckle.
"So, you look like your Japanese, but you also look European. Half and half I presume?"

Li's felt sadness well up inside her heart as she listened to him speak of his family with such fondness, affectionateness. So ironic that the Mirror showed him his family as well....
"So, you look like your Japanese, but you also look European. Half and half I presume?"
She was startled out of her reverie. "Um, yes, actually. My father was Japanese, but my mother was French. What about you?" she asked quickly, trying to stay away from the subject of her family.

"I'm half-Irish and half-English," He said slowly. He walked around staring at his reflection in all of the mirrors. In one of the mirrors, he noticed that Li's reflection was in it. He glanced at her slowly and noticed that there was something different about this girl. He noticed his reflection gave him a wink, and Haydyn stared at it.
"So what about your family? Any of them alive," He wondered. Suddenly, he realized he was being slightly rude and nosey. "Uh, I'm terribly sorry about that. It's none of my business to ask."

Li shook her head, watching him watch the mirrors. "Maa, it's fine. My family's dead. All of them." She paused and then gave a small smile. "Though they aren't exactly mourned, if you catch my meaning." Deciding that she might as well make herself comfortable, she sat down where she had been standing, crossing her legs and placing her bag beside her.
"My father was an asshole and my mother was never there for me; They were more like dictators than parents. I hardly knew the rest of my family."

"Oh, so I see," He said quietly. Some reason - he wasn't his usual hyper-self. Haydyn felt like actually calming down for once. This was really starting to become awkward. As he watched Li sit down, he followed her and did the samething except he sat infront of her.
Sitting infront of her, he smiled, but his smile turned into a grin. Chuckling quietly, he said, "So do like Zonis? I mean do you actually like it here? or are you here because you have no where else to go?"

Li grinned back. "For a long time I thought the only reason I did like it here was because I had no place to go, but then I realized I liked it here because everyone here treats me like a normal person. No one ignores me or locks me up...everyone's friendly. It's not something I'm used to, but I like it."
She was quiet for a second. "I love being surrounded by such great people. It's cool to have real friends that like me for me. It's different, but...I like it."

He nodded and said, "Well that's good. At least you're having a good time here. It would suck for you I guess that if you didn't like it here. I guess we both have something in common. Even though I haven't met that many people, it's the same situation. I don't want my grandmother to harass me on some great-grandbabies, and I'm tired of her worrying about me all the time that she has to have me in the house."
Laughing quietly he mimiced his grandmother, "You better come back with some great-grandbabies from that university of yours!" Haydyn then transformed into his grandmother. "Yep, I'm metamorphic. Suprising, huh? Sometimes, I tend to screw up my real physical appearance sometimes because I morph into too many people."
Haydyn sighed and transformed back into his old self again. He smiled and said, "You're easy to talk too. It's nice to have someone listen to you."

She found herself laughing near hysterically at his imitation of his grandmother, but when Haydyn transformed, she almost fell over. "Wow, that's so cool!" she said, eyes wide. "Wow, sometimes I wish I could do that. You know - just be somebody else."
"You're easy to talk too. It's nice to have someone listen to you."
She smiled happily. "You're pretty easy to talk to yourself. It's hard to find people that will listen to what you're saying; I mean, really listen, not just nod and smile and agree with whatever you tell them."

"I wish I could be someone total different from my personality, but my grandmother would just know it's me. I suppose it's because she knows that I have the power to morph," He said with a light chuckle. With his hand, he conjured up some rum.
Haydyn pushed a glass to her, but he accidently spilled it on her. "Oh crap! I'm sorry," He said as he leaned over and tried to clean up the rum he spilled on her shirt.
